At Shelley Hive Co., we take pride in delivering our innovative AAC Beehives efficiently and safely to your doorstep. Due to the size and shipping requirements of our hives, we apply a simple flat-rate shipping fee—no surprises at checkout. If you’re ordering two or more hives, contact us for a custom bulk shipping quote. Detailed delivery, packaging, and handling information follows below.
Shipping & Handling
Delivery Options
- Standard Shipping: We offer standard shipping services to most locations within the continental United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.
- Expedited and Same-Day Delivery: Available options will be based on the destination and the specifics of the order. Please contact us for these services.
Shipping Costs
- Flat-rate Shipping: We charge a flat shipping fee of $250 per AAC Beehive. This rate includes palletized LTL freight and liftgate service for secure delivery to your apiary. Shipping is available throughout the continental U.S., except Alaska and Hawaii.
- Free Local Delivery: We proudly offer free delivery for customers in Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson counties in Oregon, making it easier for our local community to access our innovative beehives.
- Bulk Orders & Custom Quotes: If you order two or more hives, we’ll work with you to find the most cost-effective shipping solution. Bulk orders often qualify for reduced per-hive freight rates—just contact us for a personalized quote. orders@shelleyhiveco.com.
Geographical Coverage
- We currently ship to all states in the USA, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. International shipping is not available at this time.
Delivery Times
- Processing Time: Each hive is handmade carefully; please allow 1-2 weeks for processing.
- Shipping Time: Delivery times after shipping depend on the destination and the chosen shipping method. Standard delivery rules apply, and shipping times can be affected by weekends and public holidays.
Tracking Your Order
- Upon dispatch, we provide a tracking number so you can follow your shipment’s journey. Updates will be accessible via the tracking system of our delivery partners.
Packaging
- Your beehive will be securely packaged in a wooden crate, with AAC panels cushioned by polystyrene.
- Note: One sheet of polystyrene is used for insulation during colder months and will be marked accordingly.
Handling Special Instructions
- We understand that not every delivery location is equipped with a dock or forklift. We offer liftgate services for such cases. If you have special delivery instructions or need to modify your delivery details after placing an order, please contact us within 48 hours.
